Welcome
Welcome
This has been a year of transitions and changes. Our year started out with the big event finally making us husband and wife. This meant that for the first time in over 4 years we were going to be living in the same country. Exciting but such a change.
Kimberly moved to Vancouver and has really enjoyed making a life for herself here in Canada. After a few months of trying her hand at being a housewife, she thankfully got a job. She is now the assistant to the Executive Director of an Electrical Contractors Association.
Sean has had changes of his own from gaining a wife to making a big career move. Having been at Nokia for a year and a half Sean decided to leave his job and start his own company. He has been working very hard and we look forward to the projects he is creating.
As our first anniversary is fast approaching I am surprised at how fast the year has gone by. We are settling into married life and look forward to the coming year ahead.

Neither of us could have imagined that four and a half years ago in the old city of Jerusalem we would have met the person we were going to spend the rest of our lives with. We were both just travelers on different journeys who happen to decide to spend the night in the same hostel.
Having come to Israel to spend Christmas in Bethlehem, Kimberly and a few of the people she was living with in Cairo decided to spend a couple extra days in Jerusalem before heading back. Sean was in Spain trying to decide where to spend Christmas. He got this idea to go visit Bethlehem, the ‘capital’ of Christmas, and Jerusalem.
When first arriving at the hostel Kimberly and her friends decided to invite the other people in the hostel out to the bars when them that night. Sean was one of the two people that decided to join them. We had a great evening of visiting but with Kimberly heading back to Egypt and Sean heading to Tel Aviv there didn’t seem to be more than a fun evening out. Kimberly decided to give Sean her email address to show him around if he decided to change his route and head to Egypt.
Never in her wildest dreams did she really think he would show up in another middle eastern country. But he did change his plans, and about a week later that he went to Egypt.
Kimberly likes to think that she was so irresistible that he just had to come find her :) Not only did Sean come find Kimberly, but after visiting with her for a few days he then swept her away with him to Upper Egypt and then into Turkey. Kimberly is still surprised that she went traveling with a person she barely knew after only a few days, but there was something about Sean that made her feel comfortable and safe.
Traveling continues to be an integral part of our relationship. Over the past four years we have traveled different regions of the world together and find that some of our happiest moments include those from our many adventures together.
